Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching is a strengths-based, future-focused process that empowers individuals clarify their life vision, set goals, overcome obstacles, and create actionable plans for success. It empowers individuals to unlock their potential, enhance their mindset, and make positive, proactive changes toward living a fulfilling life and becoming their best self.

Coaching focuses on personal development and achieving specific goals, while counselling deals with addressing emotional, psychological, or mental health challenges. Coaching is future-focused, whereas counseling often addresses past experiences and healing. Coaching is ideal if you’re looking to improve performance, develop specific skills, or work toward personal or professional goals. Counselling is recommended if you’re dealing with emotional struggles, trauma, or mental health issues that require therapeutic intervention.

While coaching can support mental well-being by building confidence and overcoming obstacles, it is not a replacement for therapy or counselling. If you are dealing with clinical mental health issues, counselling or therapy with a licensed professional is recommended.

Yes, in most cases, coaching and counselling can complement each other. For example, a person might work with a counselor to address emotional or psychological concerns and then seek a coach for goal-setting and personal development.

I deliver coaching services online and in person by arrangement and as appropriate. I also offer walk and talk coaching locally in Greenwich Park, South East London. Plus group coaching and workshops at different locations, in schools and online.

Many insurances do not classify life coaching as a covered item. It is important to check with your provider.
