Individual Transition Coaching

Move to secondary / high school with confidence!

Starting secondary school is a big step—and it can feel overwhelming without the right support. My one-to-one coaching helps students navigate this transition with confidence by identifying their strengths, setting meaningful goals, and building practical strategies for a smooth and successful start.

Choose from online / in person individual or online small group coaching!

We begin with a complimentary online or phone session with the parent, young person or together. I will explain the coaching process and clarify your goals and expectations for coaching. If you think it is a good fit, we will make a time to start our sessions together. 

I will guide young people through the five steps of P.O.W.E.R Coaching to create a personalised transition plan that includes strategies and steps that assist them prepare for the move to high school.

We will complete your plan together over a 2 x 1 hour face to face or online coaching sessions. 

These are the steps we will cover together:

Step 1. P = Imagine Possibilities

  • Reflect on your primary school experiences.
  • Explore how you feel about moving up to secondary school
  • Identify your hopes and aspirations for high school.
Step 2. O = Become organised an make a plan
 
  • We will explore the differences between primary and high school.
  • Identify any fears, anxieties you may have. 
  • Identify strategies to be your best in five key areas:
    1. Making new friends.
    2. Adjusting to new routines and how to find your way around.
    3. Getting involved, having fun and becoming confident.
    4. Managing the workload and performing well.
    5. Becoming independent and organised.

Step 3. W = Develop Will Power

  • Weigh up the cost and benefits of making an effort.
  • Build your confidence and empower you.
Step 4. E = Build your Emotional Skills
 
  • Identify your qualities and strengths you have
  • Identify some skills you want to strengthen.
Step 5. R =  Achieve results
 
  • Design some SMART steps you can take.
  • Identify who can support you.

After your Moving Up plan has been completed, we can continue to meet to help you stay focused, motivated and committed to your goals. In our regular sessions we will review your progress, address any challenges and celebrate your achievements. The duration and frequency of our sessions is flexible depending on your needs.

I deliver coaching services online or face to face in your home by arrangement. I also offer walk and talk coaching in Greenwich Park, London. Plus coaching workshops at different locations, in schools and online.

Many insurances do not classify life coaching as a covered item. It is important to check with your provider.
